This Grand Prix Season, TRIFECTA comes alive with Somerset Tracks — our celebration of music and the race spirit. As part of Somerset Tracks, Backyard Sessions returns to The Bowl for Vol. 6, as a special race-themed edition.
More than just a skate spot, The Bowl has become a space where skateboarding, music and creativity collide. Backyard Sessions continues that tradition as we celebrate GPSS, transforming it into an intimate stage for local artists, good company and an unforgettable evening of rad vibes.
Join us on 3 October and enjoy four live performances from local talents — Mediocre Haircut Crew, iiARA, 730 Bedside and Hidemen.
We also have a special collaboration for this volume, with Naima Cat and Kris Kross Chains coming together to create custom keychains available to take home. Discover their designs at their booth then!
Just like every edition, we’ve got a giveaway lined up for you. RSVP for your chance to be one of three lucky winners to win a Surf, Snowboard or Ski Class!*
*Classes are limited to Surf Orientation or Snowboard/Ski Fundamentals of your choice.

BACKYARD ARTISTS
Formed in 2015, Mediocre Haircut Crew (MHC) is a Singaporean hip hop trio made up of Omar Kenobi, Mickey Leano and Danikiddo. What started with three polytechnic friends making music over internet beats and a cheap microphone has grown into one of the city’s distinctive indie hip hop acts.
Moving fluidly between boom bap, trap and everything in between, MHC pairs genre-spanning production with raw, no holds- barred lyricism. Their charismatic stage presence and high-energy performances have earned them a dedicated following, with releases including The MHC EP (2017) and The MHC Mixtape (2020).

Drawing inspiration from Doechii, Mac Miller and Little Simz, iiARA is known for her bold lyricism, experimental sound and instinct to challenge convention. Her distinctive storytelling and thought-provoking writing have taken her to stages including Studio Fono and CERO PJ’s in Kuala Lumpur, Scape Manifest! Music Day Out, Identité Fest and Singapore Art Week 2025.
Live, iiARA brings an unpredictable energy to the stage, incorporating moments of improvisation alongside producer, music director and drummer Ashwin Menon. Together, they create dynamic performances that keep audiences engaged from start to finish.
Formed in 2020, 730Bedside is a four-piece band shaped by DIY home recordings, late-night antics and a love for everything in between hip hop and indie rock.
Blending the noise with the calm, the band moves freely between genres to create a sound and space of their own. Catch 730Bedside live at Backyard Sessions Vol. 6 as they bring their eclectic sound to The Bowl for an evening of music, movement and good company.
Hidemen is a group of close friends united by a shared passion for music and art. Rooted in hip hop, they come with unconventional sounds, diverse influences and an emphasis on storytelling.
Their 2026 album DRAGON draws from medieval role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and Baldur’s Gate 3, creating a unique sonic universe where stories unfold across shifting genres of emotion, hope and possibility.
Catch Hidemen live at Backyard Sessions Vol. 6 as they bring their world to The Bowl.
