After a year long break, Backyard Sessions returns for one night only, with an edition that kicks off our 2nd Anniversary celebrations, and we’re doing it the best way we know how – an evening of intimate music magic featuring local talents Subsonic Eye, Cactus Cactus, Inkblot Page and Sappy Chill.
Set in our backyard skate bowl, Backyard Sessions is a tribute to the DIY spirit of boardsports and music, dedicated to creators carving their own path through the sound waves. 🤟🏻

MEET THE
BACKYARD ARTISTS
Born out of Singapore’s DIY spirit in 2017, Subsonic Eye has carved a sound that hums with the rhythm of city life — fast, bright, and beautifully human.
Led by singer Wahidah’s velvety lilt, the band weaves dreamy jangle pop and raw indie rock into songs that pulse with organic energy. Their music can be wistful one moment and electric the next — balancing post-punk bite with the tenderness of modern folk.
From underground mainstays to international stages like KEXP, Subsonic Eye has remained true to their spark, making indie rock that glows with sincerity, honesty, and heart.

Hailing from Geylang, Sappy Chill is a dynamic Singaporean boyband that defies musical boundaries — blending everything from dangdut to funk into a sound that’s entirely their own.
Their music pulses with the multicultural heartbeat of their neighbourhood, creating an eclectic, infectious sonic experience that’s impossible to sit still to.
On stage, Sappy Chill delivers high-energy, joy-fueled performances packed with unexpected twists. Get ready for a vibrant, chaotic and irresistibly fun set from them!
Cactus Cactus is a Singaporean punk band that melds psychedelic jams with the raw energy of Southeast Asia’s underground scene. Their sound is an expression of community and kindness – an active defiance of the capitalistic grind of their city. Cactus Cactus is made up of frontman Isaac Chiew, guitarist Aaron Devoy, bassist John Paul Kwan, and drummer Jules.
Since the release of their sophomore EP, ‘Life is Short’, Cactus Cactus’ infectious charisma and unpredictable stage antics have made them a renowned live act in the region – consistently dominating festival stages (TAPAUfest, Baybeats & more) and packed independent shows alike. Emerging from Singapore’s vibrant underground scene, Inkblot Page is a fresh addition to the local music landscape — classifying themselves as an egg-punk band infused with avant-garde, no wave influences.
Formed by Dzakirin Zharfan, Daniel Borces, Iqbal Rohan, and Kristopher Teo, the quartet made their debut in November 2024 with the release of One Photon Split.
They describe their live sets and music as interactive, loose and carefree, with an intention of deconstructing modern music, turning every performance into an unpredictable experiment in sound and energy.
